Australia & New Zealand

Both Australia and New Zealand probably have the strictest regulations on importing animals into their country. The requirements change regularly and it is essential that you keep abreast of any changes. At least 6 months prior to entering either of these countries tests need to be performed on your Great Dane before they will even be considered permission to enter the countries. Upon arrival in these countries there are also quarantine measures too.

The most secure way of knowing what the present requirements are is to contact a relocation company for up to date information.

Ensure you know exactly what is needed.

If you are presently living in Oz or NZ you may wish to think very carefully about taking your Dane overseas, the extremely high costs and lengthy procedures can be very stressful when re-entering your country. Research thoroughly before making any decisions.
